Arsenal & Man United, 2 of English football biggest clubs are in crisis. Both sides are struggling for consistency and you wonder how long this will go on.
Arsenal though are sick and tired of it as they sacked manager Unai Emery on Friday.
Solskjaer hangs on at Man United, but his time will certainly be up if this horror show continues at Old Trafford.
Below are the 4 Things We Have Learnt From Arsenal And Man Utd’s Poor Form:
1. Lack of Confidence
This is a particularly important concern for both clubs.
Both sides have players that have lost the plot.
Defenders keep making errors that lead to goals while attackers record more shots off target.
2. Poor Manager-Player Relationship
Managers are always sacked for this recurring behaviour in modern football.
How can you manage a business effectively without having good relationship with your staffs?
When the coach and the players are not in good rapport, it’s a recipe for disaster.
Take Mesut Ozil and Granit Xhaka for example, it’s obvious the lads were not happy with the Manager Unai Emery. He eventually got fired.
Same disagreement between Mourinho and Pogba at Manchester United. The special one was subsequently thrown out.
3. Players Simply Tired Of Their Manager
I was so irritated when I saw both Arsenal and Manchester United’s Europa League Results.
They were both leading at half time and it ended up in defeat. The body language of the players tell an obvious story.
4. Poor Tactics
Different Managers with different style of play, some are defensively minded while others want to attack.
It’s important to always try new things and adapt in a highly competitive league like the Premier League.
Antonio Conte famously did it during his time at Chelsea. After losing heavily to Arsenal, he brushed up the defence; introducing 3 men at the back and the result was a premier league title in his first season.
